F-104G Starfighter D-8091 was built by Fokker and delivered to the RNLAF on September 25, 1963. The aircraft had been assigned to the 311th and 312th squadrons but from 1974 until 1979 the aircraft was flown by Hans Van Der Werff as a demonstration aircraft. Hans spent more than 2,400 hours in this aircraft and in 1978 when the Air Force was marking its 65th Anniversary D8091 was given a special paint scheme and markings. Over the years the aircraft appeared in 120 displays.
