CF-101B Voodoo 17450 was one of 4 ex-USAF F-101Bs (59-0450/0453) aircraft sold to the RCAF in 1961/62. No. 410 Squadron was formed in June 1941 as a night-fighter unit. The squadron was disbanded and reformed at Uplands AFB in November 1956 as 410 (AW)F Squadron and on December 20, 1961 became Canada’s first operational CF-101 squadron. In March 1964 the squadron was once again disbanded but in 1968 it reappeared in Bagotville, Quebec as the operational training squadron for the CF-101 Voodoo. On June 11, 1982 the squadron moved to CFB Cold Lake, Alberta and re-equipped with the CF-18 and became the 410 Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron.
