Sukhoi Su-35S Bort 902 (T10BM-2) was the second of four prototypes of the Flanker E. The Su-35S isn’t to be confused with the earlier Su-35 used by the variant Su-27M. Bort 902 completed its maiden flight on October 2, 2008 at Komsomolsk-on-Amur with KnAAPO (Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association) factory test pilot Sergey Bogdan at the controls. 902 is painted in a new 3-color splinter scheme. This aircraft made its public debut at MAKS-2009 Airshow where purchase orders were taken from foreign countries.
