Sukhoi delivered the first three Su-35s destined for Privolzhsky Air Base arriving on September 9, 2022. The trip would involve a flight of over 3,800 miles and took three stopovers before reaching the Southern Russian air base. One of the three Su-35S was Blue 01. The base is home to the 185th Combat Training Application Center of the Aerospace Forces. The 185th air unit is the 116th Combat Application Training Center of Fighter Aviation and is the Russian version of an Aggressor Squadron.
