The Hungarian Air Force (Magyar Legierő) 59th Tactical Fighter Wing had two Tactical Fighter Squadrons, 1st Puma Repuloszazad (Cougars) and 2nd Dongo Repuloszazad (Bees) located at Kecskemet Air Base. From 1993 until December 2010 each squadron was equipped with eleven MiG-29B and three MiG-29UB. One of the MiG-29s with the 1st TFS was Black 04 c/n 296053127 f/n 4508. In 2003 these MiGs were overhauled and repainted in low-visibility schemes. In 2010 the Hungarian Air Force replaced the MiG-29s with the SAAB JAS-39 Gripens.
