2019 was the fifth year for the Russian international military-technical forum “Army 2019” held in June at Kubinka and many other locations. These forums are used to demonstrate to the public the advancements the Russian military has made over the past year. This gathering isn’t limited to aircraft; it also includes ground forces and technology. 2019 saw the largest crowds of its 5 years in operation. MiG-29SMT Blue 23 RF-90847 had spent time in Syria in 2017 and was one of many aircraft to take part at Kubinka.
