P-51C 43-25147 c/n 103-26778 was constructed in 1943 and was flown by Lt. William Wisner of the 352nd FG/487th FS. On June 6, 1944, D-Day Wisner‘s P-51 “Queen Elizabeth” was hit by flak and crash landed. Wisner evaded capture and was saved by Canadian forces. Wisner had a total of 15.5 victories. Later, parts of the aircraft along with some Israeli P-51 parts the aircraft was restored and eventually ended up as “Princess Elizabeth” again and in 2007 joined “The Gathering of Mustangs & Legends”.
